DAVID CURSON WINS MICHIGAN’S 11TH DISTRICT, PARTIAL TERM – U.S. CONGRESS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –
November 7, 2012
It is an honor to have been elected to Congress from Michigan’s 11th District for the remainder of the 112th Congress. I want to thank all of those that helped and had faith in me for their support and hard work during this very difficult campaign. Especially my wife, Sharon, who tirelessly worked on every detail, kept us organized and gave me the energy to push on. Patrick McCarty, my campaign manager, who navigated me through this strange political world and kept me focused on the issues, deserves much credit for our success. My family and friends, who volunteered many hours and hard work as well as suffered through the many emotions of the uncharted waters and the ups and downs of a political campaign. Also to Steve Glick, who did a great job with the web site – my main means of communicating my thoughts and beliefs on the issues. I am truly humbled by all of those who volunteered their help or contributed their hard earned dollars or simply put their trust in me by pulling my lever on Election Day. Now that the election is over, I am honored and I will work hard to live up to the expectations and trust placed in me. I didn’t run for this office for a title. I ran to help break the gridlock in Washington and to do my part to move our nation forward; insuring Social Security and Medicare is protected, a fair tax structure is put in place and make every effort to bring jobs to Michigan. I hope to represent every citizen of the 11th District regardless of their political affiliation and work to make each of their lives and America better.
