In this confusing election you can vote for Dave Curson in the old 11th District and Dr.Syed Taj in the new 11th on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Dave is running for the remainder of the term Thaddeus McCotter abandoned when he resigned from the 112th Congress on July 6, 2012. When elected Dave’s term will end with the 112th Congress on January 2, 2013. On January 3, 2013 Dr. Taj will be sworn in to represent the new 11th Congressional District in the 113th US Congress.

Communities in the new 11th District include in Oakland County: Auburn Hills, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Clawson, Commerce Township, Farmington, Highland Township, Lake Angelus, Lyon Township, Milford Township, Northville, Novi, Rochester Hills (part), South Lyon, Troy, Walled Lake, Waterford Township, West Bloomfield, White Lake Township and Wixom; in Wayne County include: Canton Township, Livonia, Northville, Northville Township, Plymouth and Plymouth Township. (Bolded communities were in the former old 11th Distict and registered voters can vote for both Dave Curson and Dr. Syed Taj in the November 6th election.)
